Press-Veneer and Laminate Hot

A veneer press is used for the laminating of various surfaces such as veneer and laminate to sheet materials. Available in various sizes the principles are of a strong welded structure with a moving platen that closes and applies a surface pressure whilst the material is bonded.

Veneer presses are available in different tonnage’s to give various thrust and specific area pressure. The amount of specific area pressure required depends on materials being used.

In larger volume production veneer presses are incorporated into a line which are through feed. Modern presses are computer controlled giving simpler calculation of pressure needed, avoiding over pressing and ultimately damage to work and press.
