The machine of the month this month is the Boere Sandrite belt sander. This technologically advanced cost effective sander has been specifically designed for small and medium sized workshops to provide all the features of an industrial scale sander but at a price most smaller workshops can afford.
The Boere Sandrite is available in two basic models: the first is fitted with a single combi-head and the second is fitted with two heads, a separate contact roller and combi-unit. Both versions can be fitted with either a pneumatically controlled sanding pad suitable for standard sanding applications or a segmented sanding pad, which is optimised for sanding ultra-thin lacquers and veneers.
• Electronic belt tracking
• Run-off and rupture protection
• Pneumatic belt tensioner
• Electric height adjustment for feed table
• Spring loaded rubber pressure rollers
• Durable construction
• Working widths 1100 – 1300 mm
• Automatic fault diagnosis
• Heavy duty electric motor
A number of Boere accessories can also be fitted to the Sandrite to tailor the machine to your own specific working environment. These include up to three sanding belts for heavy duty applications, a variable speed feeder which allows users to tailor the operation speed to match production workflows and practical infeed and outfeed roller tables which allow for the stable handling of larger planks of timber.
• Variable feed speed unit 4-15 m/min
• Digital counter with pre-setting for the feed table
• Second sanding belt
• Air jet belt cleaning device
• Infeed roller table 300 mm
• Outfeed roller table 300 mm
• Outfeed roller table 700 mm
Optimised for small to medium-sized workshops, the Boere Sandrite is the most technologically advanced sander in its class. This powerful compact machine can handle most commercial and industrial sanding tasks with ease, but the real beauty of the Sandrite is in its simple operation. The control panel is intuitive for users to operate without having to resort to the manual, and it does this without losing any of the capabilities of its more expensive cousins.
The Sandrite can also be tailored to suit your production environment with the optional variable speed feeder unit and 1100 to 1300mm input widths. Multiple sanding units can be fitted, ranging from light to heavy duty, and a pneumatic segmented pad is also available which allows you to sand veneers and lacquers with ease. The whole machine is controlled by a variable programmable logic controller (PLC) which continuously monitors the state of the input to ensure output is created error-free every single time.
