The structuring or texturing of wood can be performed on various machines. This normalcy involves the removing of the softer grains producing a uneven surface that looks more natural. The structuring is performed with brushes normally steel or wire depending on wood types. For a more random appearance the machines brushes oscillate. A new advancement in the process is the scarving of the wood giving a more rough sawn look. The results from these machines are effective and really give wood a 3D feel.
